At 8 am, I will post a good morning message daily. Please say hi and let us all know how you are doing.
All assignments are in the "Class 3-302 Remote Learning Plan" in google classroom. There you can open articles and click on links to complete the assignments.
When using Nearpod, if you don't answer the questions it reads your score as a 0. If this has happened, try again.
For writing assignments and book reports, you can type on the sheet. Make sure to put your heading on your paper. It saves automatically. Don't turn in the assignment until complete. If you don't have time to complete at once, it is saved and you can come back to it later.
ELA Ready and Math Book assignments can be done in the book.
If you have not signed into google classroom, please do so. You can always contact me at [email protected]
Class code for epic books is SVL-8298
For those with no computer access:
Reading: Read "Flying on Ice" for the gist. On second read, monitor for meaning. Then analyze the questions and skim and scan the text for the answer.
Math: Math Ready Lesson 27
Writing: Draft out your extended response to "Zel the Donkey" from ELA Ready Book Lesson 8 (this was assigned on March 13th).

Dear Students and Families of Class 3-302,
I am writing to inform you that after hearing the news that NYC public schools will be closed until Monday, April 20, I am working hard to create a remote learning plan for all students to continue learning over the next few weeks. We will not stop instruction. We will simply transition to distance learning until it is deemed safe for us to all return together.
We will use google classroom for assignments and zoom for communication. Continue to check our class website for updated directions and instructions. I know you will work your hardest and continue to amaze me daily.
First and foremost, I want to reassure you that I will be available for you (both to students and parents). I am only an email or video call away. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I will do my best to help in every way possible.
To prepare yourself for this learning experience, please ensure you can access Google Classroom, and sign up for zoom.
I sent you the school survey to ask about technology in your home. If you do not have an electronic device (iPad or laptop) or Internet access, please contact me immediately.
In addition, school breakfast and lunch will still be available and Spectrum is offering free Wi-Fi for 60 days for any family with K-12 or college students who don’t already have internet access. Please call 1-844-488-8395 for more information. Please visit the NYC DOE website for further updates.
The assignments will be available on Google Classroom. I will be updating it as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and cooperation and as we navigate this process. Take care of yourselves. Stay happy and healthy.
Sincerely,
Amanda Hamerman

Cuidense. Manténgase felices y saludables.
